Future of SMILE

With 4 years of extensive experience in the sector, where are we going to progress.... how do we envision SMILE in another few years from? What are all the challenges that we have faced so far? What is the learning that we have after taking classes in homes for the last 3 years? How do we plan to grow bigger?

Here comes the answer to all these questions that has been prevailing in all your minds.

A space for the poor and needy ones who are unable to focus on studies for board exams....
Ok so is it a tuition center?
No you got it wrong. Its more than a typical tuition center.
OK so is it an extension of punnagai paalam?
Yes it is but again not just with the volunteers whom we have now... we are going to have some more paid staff to give extensive coaching on weekdays.
How do you plan to enroll students in SLS? On what basis?
A survey will be conducted in govt schools and based on the filter criteria, we will enroll details.
How many students will be benefited by SLS?
20 Students to start with this year in each SLS.
You mentioned each SLS, so how many centers are you planning to start?
Atleast 2 to begin with one in Chennai and one in the outskirts or villages near kanchipuram.
Will you be extending your support to students in your SLS through Sadhana?
May be may not be :-) Depends on the financial situation and the marks obtained by the students, but as of now yes there is a plan to support students who fulfill the cut off condition set up by Sadhana team.
