How do you keep a passion alive?
Especially being part of an NGO; how do you keep yourself from running out of steam or worse, losing interest?
The question stems from the fact that for diverse reasons, many members start to gradually remove themselves from the action.
And others who jumped on in the wagon out of interest haven't been able to contribute much as they find it difficult to accommodate in their hectic lifestyle
The main concern for NGOs like SMILE is thus sustaining a core volunteer strength and keeping them involved.
The nature of this 'attrition' and it's root causes are baffling and leaves the core members of an organisation of this size much strained
Because under most circumstances, plain monetary contribution might not be enough, it requires a good number of hands to put those monies to good use!
What do you think can be done to avoid such blocks and in case of inevitable circumstances under which a person cannot contribute to the tasks by physically being on the venue; what other ways are there for them to still share the burden?
Your thoughts please!

yes we do have lot of tie ups with the other groups... but you know... everyone has thier own vision and mission and may not coincide everytime...
the post is more focussed on how to retain teh core volunteers who are once very effective but are gone without any trace.. :(
