SMILE 5th Anniversay - Replay

SMILE 5th Anniversary function was a huge sucess event. The chief guest Mr. Sarath Baabu gave a wonderful inspiring speech quoting " Poverty should not be your excuse for not putting your efforts forward"

Sarath babu also insisted the students to 'Think positively at all circumstances and get the help of organizations like SMILE and grow to great heights'. His speech was followed by Kuthuvilaku lighting to mark the begining of new project Punnagai Paalam rural reach.

This speech was followed by some very practical addressing by Syed, Creative team member, Neeya Naana, Vijay TV. He quoted to some of his real life incidents and how he was able to reach to this position. The speeches were followed by prizes distribution to the toppers in Xth and XIIth examination.
An update about the new project Punnagai Paalam Rural Reach was provided to the audience with the help of video carefully created by Valliganthan and a presentation by Rajesh, Head in charge for PPRR Cheyyar. They almost took the entire audience to Cheyyar.

The prize distribution was followed by launch of SMILE Gift Certificates, SMILE Display Cards. More details of the Gift certificate and Display Cards to be followed soon in the coming posts.And then scholarships for 19 students were awarded, all these students were part of punnagai paalam project are now inducted through Sadhana 2009. 3 students have already joined thier science degrees with Ethiraj college.


SMILE Excellence Awards were given to following people for thier splendid performance and dedication towards SMILE over the past.
Punnagai Paalam- Karthik – Taking care of 9th English , Medical camps. Velu -- Taking care of 9th Maths Abirami -- Handling Maths class Revathy -- Handling Maths class
Sadhana Rani --- regular for Sadhana_08 Vishnudevi -- regular for Sadhana_08
Shiksha V.V Mohan - co-ordinating with 2007 batch Nanda - Successfully carrying out siksha activities.
Admin Revathy -- Admin Siva Sooriya Narayanan - Invites Dhiwakar - Tally, Accounts


This was followed by lunch and then some applauding cultural performance from childrens of waltax home, kosapet home, CHILD Home, GLC Home Tambaram

All these performances were awarded with a Sanyo Emergency lamp.
